Today I shall believe
Why do I not believe in myself, the way that others do
What do they see, that I can not, I wish sometimes I knew
To me the see someone so strong, but yet I feel so weak
I only see the bad side, everything looks so bleak
What must I do to have the faith that others have in me
This I must acquire, so I can finally be free
I know I have the backbone to fight when things get tough
I know I have the courage and strength, when everything gets rough
I know that I am capable of standing on my own
But yet I feel so lonely, so frightened and forlorn
I can take care of others, I help them with such ease
Them I can make happy, but yet myself I can not please
Please God above, give me tools to find the inside me what I need
Show me the path I should follow, send me some kind of a lead
For I have learned how to crawl, but must get up on my feet
And take the steps I need to take, for this struggle I must beat
I'll take one tiny little step on the road that leads me home
To the happiness that awaits me, then no longer shall I roam
It may be hard and scary, but I know it's what I must do
I will believe in myself, I am worthy, and this I always knew
But we get comfortable in situations, even thought we know they're wrong
It's from these mistakes in the life that I've liven, that will help to make me strong
