    MY TRUSTWORTHY FRIEND

The light of day slowly ebbs away
Ever so gently night takes its place
The calmness it brings makes me turn
To find an old familiar face

The peace he brings just being there
The soothing presence of an old friend
Always knowing that he'll be there
Til daylight breaks the heavens once again

He listens as I talk, never judging
But go he must, way too soon
I'll see him again as the sun ebbs away
My trustworthy friend, The Man in The Moon
