    Poem Commentary

    16th and finial poem in my notebook.....for now

    Now

     I'm surrounded
    by darkness
    but not hiding
    from fear
    from pain

    I was once
    bright
    but held captive

    Now I am
    dark
    but totally free
    no chains
    holding me down
    no pain
    to stop me
    my fear of death
    does not exsit
    so anything is open to me

    Now words do not hurt
    when they are said
    by another
    because I've said so much
    worse
    so their words are like
    complements I've learned
    to accept
