Pixie

One day her broken heart will mend
Shell someday crawl out of bed again
Collapsing is her face into frail shaking hands
For she couldn't measure up with life and love and all its demands

Dreams massacred which were once sacred to both heart and mind
Haunting her is all that she regrettably must leave behind
Glitter shimmering wings torn lying on the ground
Biting hard on a trembling lip she cries desperate not to utter a sound

Regeneration her soul shall find when discovered is the one magical pixie dust
Troubling enough is eternally she shall forever seek it as its map happens to be trust
Dowsed is the flame that held such a radiant beauty
For forsaken was loves promised annuity

Critically looking for strength to wield such weapon such as courage in a time being now
Hindsight leaves a lasting scar upon her body as she wonders why this feeling she did ever allow
Exhaustion invades her spirit hindering her every effort to breathe
For what is a pixie when the magic is lost and in them you no longer believe

Your speaks the truth. It says just how when knocked down, how we react. How it is a hard thing to recover from.

Thanks...and indeed you do get back up up again:-P

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
