Still Here Part 2

God bless the child that’s got his own

But don’t forget about the child that feels alone

And all that he has belongs to someone else

Afraid of trusting left to rely on himself

Building a wall overtime always lost in his mind

Becoming a rock to the world as if everything is fine

With a hole in his heart as a result of her death

Standing under water and holding his breath

Looking over the edge questioning why

Though his eyes stay glossy he’s refusing to cry

He’s done that before and nothing has changed

Emotions turn to anger surrounded by flames

Trying to brake through these chains still ignoring the pain

Speeding down this highway while in the wrong lane

A need to change direction finding it hard to slow down

Look at me now when no ones around

I’m trying to fly not that far from the ground

But wait a minute what’s that sound?

It’s my heart still beating, Damn I guess I’m still here…

incredible....your use of words delivers your pain to the reader, and made me want to reach out...this is good.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
