The Truth

The Truth

You are right I do not love you
For every second we’ve spent, I've hated
For it’s in my nature to lie
But I am tired of making excuses

This time it’s you, not me
There is nothing wrong with me
I have only told you
What you wanted to hear

Even if it’s a lie
I lie to get what I want
You just happened to be easy
I read you like a book
And did whatever it took

Now that I have had you
I’m done with you
What goes around might come around
I will rather take that chance
Than chancing with you

So stop over reaching
For you might love me, but I not you
Is this the truth you wanted to hear?

:)

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
