Understanding

When I go out
When the time has come
To join the wonders of the planets, stars and sun
I know I'll be OK, I'm sure I'll be just fine
My theories will be proven
My energy Divine

My energy, my spirit
Will merge and intertwine
With every other part
Of everything Divine

The meaning of the word Divine
Is vague and so obscure
My meaning's not the same as yours
Of this I am quite sure

In each of us there is a part
That shines through darkness black as coal
That's where the word Divine resides
In each and every soul

So look upon your fellow
Though he be yellow, brown or tan
Red or white, or dark as night
And try to understand

Our lives are not that different
We're here for a very short time
Let us all make the most of it
"Hey buddy can you spare a dime?"

Beautifully composed. The thread you used to weave this tapestry is simply fine. You maintain such a level of interest throughout all of your pieces. You manage to reach the reader and that alone is rewarding. We are made of the same. You have my undivided attention.

I have different beliefs then you but you expressed well what you do believe in. I wonder where is your hope for eternity? I believe in heaven and God and Jesus and a here after that lasts forever. Please read my poem forever and YOu are the Famous One. i think they are quite good.

A good poem with a nice message, Critique: The last line takes away from the poem and the message you conveying. smiles

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
