these answers i should have known

you should have been in my life
to see my children grow
what you did cut deep into me like a knife
now my children you will never know

how do i handle the problems from day to day
knowing you just ended your life to escape
my dreams i see each night i lay
the pain you had to know was rape

you over looked what you were supposed to have seen
each night you made me share a room
now i know nothing but feeling you are mean
and leaving me with a heart full of doom

i pray to god that he will save me
