You Can't See The Teardrops In The Rain

You Can't See The Teardrops In The Rain

I guess it's time
To say goodbye to yesterday
Though I really can't say
Where it all went wrong
A heart's supposed to be
Shielded by faith
But we all end up Singing
The same song

So when the skies turn grey
You can bet on where I'll be
Out in the midst
Soaking up the reality
And searching for an answer
To put an end to all the pain
And you can't see the teardrops
In the Rain

So speak no more to me
Of love that's pure and free
For deep inside I know
That there's a price to pay
For Love's caused me
To favor the night
And dread each break of day

For with the night
Comes my mind's eye
This slumber I wish not to part
And in the day
The light shines on
The void
Within my heart

So when the skies turn grey
You can bet on where I'll be
Out in the midst
Soaking up the reality
And searching for an answer
To put an end to all the pain
And you can't see the teardrops
In the Rain

No you can't see the teardrops
In the Rain

This is a beautiful work, and kind of odd to love a sad poem, but dictions and writting is just soothing!. Am keeping it as one of my favorites

Thank you Nadia.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
