    An afternoon rain...

Raindrops, I see them slowly fall from the sky,
they drip and splash, wetting all in their way
and a symphony of water entices us to play.
They gather into puddles and will soon be dry.

Rainbows, are seen by a certain few.
They appear from nowhere soon after the rain
and disappear as quickly as when they came.
Let us sit for a moment and enjoy the view.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
