carnivorous pack animal

And tell me
Am I free,
wild from torment?
An encroaching,lamenting sigh
an unconscious knowledge
of
the spangled
pretty offering before me

There was a wood a gladed forest
She was skipping through the palace
Malice was on no-one's mind
peering out from behind
a slender chance
that he might be remembered
he showed the malice
that he just could not hide

If love be the towering shady tree,
then lust must be,
a carnivorous pack animal
leaving its scent to the wind

The hunt for the hunted. This has a eerie yet tantalizing message. Great imagery. Ginga

This poem both confuses me as well as draws me in. It is well written and its message is very subtle.

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.

Plato (BC 427-BC 347) Greek philosopher.
