Cell Phone

Time
fads as
d i g i t s
change
blinking
seconds into
minutes
from
hours
into days,
I need to be
free
isolated
dissipating
into ashes
I
need
to be
connected
to you,
phones
ring
I'm
unable to
reach
out
touch
someone,
Words
flare
inside
my head
voices
bleed
these walls
plead
for
deliverance,
I
need
a
cell
phone
fuck a
kiss
I need
to hear
you speak
whispering
soft melodies
in
a minor,
Finally
a phone
your words
penetrating
my
cell,
Before
I can
respond
to
your faithfulness,
Its
back to
my
cell,
Damn
I
need
a
cell phone

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
