Chasing the Horizon

Chasing the Horizon

walk outside leave the door open wide
just keep walking out into the night
no destination, no end in sight
not a soul to ask me if I'm alright

I'm just a man, that's all I've ever been
tired of fighting with no way to win
just keep walkin till I reach the end
all alone, just chasing the horizon

Feel the drizzle, the start of the rain
pouring down on me just like the pain
not just crazy but completely insane
but these tears and raindrops feel the same

I'm not the man you wanted me to be
and so you see me as the enemy
I'll keep walkin till I reach the end
all alone, just chasing the horizon

You're my candle in the dark at night
You're the one that makes me feel alright
I'm such a fool, I just can't pretend
I didn't know how it was gonna end

I'm not a man, I'm just a memory
Just a silhouette you could never see
just keep walkin, should be near the end
just a soul chasing the horizon

Lonely soul in the puring rain
Never going back to that house again
I'll keep running with my newfound friend
all alone, chasing the horizon
