    Light Through Leaves

As I lay looking up at a tree,
I see the rustle of a breeze
the light dances through the leaves
unleashing an inner peace for me

    Swimming, dancing, shimmering light
shifts as the wind heaves a sigh
turns to gold as night draws nigh
    completing another circle in life

How I wish here to remain
and live in peace for all my days
the wind's and light's ballet has ways
of pausing time with sweet refrain
