DEATH

My husband died several years ago
It was very difficult to let him go.
He had been diagnosed with a rare disease
The doctors were trying to determine how
they should proceed.
They said that the chemo may not work
If it didn't help, it could not hurt.
They said the prognosis wasn't good
I knew they did everything that they could.
My daughter came to hospital to see him that day
She said, "I love you dad," but I can't stay
She was very happy when she came home
I had to tell her dad died, while she was gone.
My husband never had any problems with his health
My daughter didn't understand the concept of death.
When I left the hospital he was feeling fine
His condition had deteriorated in a very short time.
Now he is in heaven where it is warm and safe
He's with his sons and mother in a better place.

omg im sorry i bet it was really hard on you and your daughter hope you guys feel better

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
