MARRIAGE

MARRIAGE

I fell in love when I was young

The peak of my life had not begun.

I wasn't prepared to become a wife

Yet, I was married and starting a new life.

There we many things that I didn't know

My lack of experience was starting to show.

I knew tthat marriage was both give and take

I was so young, I made many mistakes.

A year passed by and our daughter was born

I was taking care of a child and he was gone.

We had already purchased a house

I was living in the house without my spouse.

I couldn't anticipate this change in my life

I was now single and no longer a wife a wife.

Sounds familiar, everything changes (all things are purposeful), go with the flow.....

Poetry is what is lost in translation.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
