Dreamin' Awake
Dreamin’ awake
The walls were closing in
The floor boards were breaking
The sky started falling
The ground started quaking
My hand’s started shaking
I could feel it coming
Some how I was a part of it
There was no point in running
Good, bad, and evil
It really didn’t matter
‘Cause everything was real
But now reality was shattered
People started chatter
The chatter turned to noise
And with everything I gathered
I still couldn’t hear a voice
People scattered frantically
The sky was turning red
Everywhere there’s tragedy
My hands upon my head
All I knew was left to do
Was open up my mouth
And yell until my face turned blue
But nothing would come out
I took a breath
I closed my eyes
Everything went black
A mental check
I realize I’m lying on my back
As I opened up my eyes
It slowly came to seem
I was back in real Life
It must have been a dream
The walls were closing in
The floor boards were breaking
The sky started falling
The ground started quaking
My hand’s started shaking
I could feel it coming
Some how I was a part of it
There was no point in running
Good, bad, and evil
It really didn’t matter
‘Cause everything was real
But now reality was shattered
People started chatter
The chatter turned to noise
And with everything I gathered
I still couldn’t hear a voice
People scattered frantically
The sky was turning red
Everywhere there’s tragedy
My hands upon my head
All I knew was left to do
Was open up my mouth
And yell until my face turned blue
But nothing would come out
I took a breath
I closed my eyes
Everything went black
A mental check
I realize I’m lying on my back
As I opened up my eyes
It slowly came to seem
I was back in real Life
It must have been a dream
