    This poem was written after the one I loved broke my heart. It has been a reminder that no one is perfect, and everything has it's end.

    Fade
    ~
    Our love is like a candle
    The fire begins to fade
    Never to heat again
    Our love is like a song
    The notes have all been played
    Never to sing again
    ~
    You tell me you will be here to light our dying fire
    You tell me you will be here to make us new notes
    The fire has already died
    The notes have already played
    You cannot keep me from this hurt
    You cannot keep me from this fate
    ~
    No more fire
    No more songs
    Just endless tears
    To fill my empty heart
    ~
