Poem Commentary

This poem was written after I found out that a guy was using me to get to my sister. She knew what was happening, but I didn't believe her. This isn't my best poem, but it tells alot about what I felt.

False Love

She told me over and over
Your love wasn't true
I didn't want to believe her
I only wanted to believe in you

So many have hurt me
I didn't want you to be like the others
I had to believe in our plans
I wanted to believe we were lovers

Judgment day had finally came
I found out your true feelings
I knew our love would never be the same
You tore me apart
Just like all the other men in my life

Forgivness is hard
Love is even harder
For telling me you love me
I forgive you
I forgive you, your lies,
 Your false love

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
