For The One I Love
You brought color to my life
when things had turned grey
You showed me the light
When I thought I'd lost my way
You gave me hope
When I had lost my faith
You provided me with warmth
When my life was dark and cold
You showed me a new love
That made me strong and bold
You brought happiness and joy
Things that faded with my past
You gave me will to keep on going
When I had given up way to fast
You have given me so much
with your kind and thoughtful ways
with every tender touch
You chased all my doubt away
You gave me reason to believe
in happy endings and dreams once again
Not only are you my lover, but my soul mate, and best friend.
You have given me new life
With all that you are..
That is why I count my blessings
And Thank my lucky star.
I can never express my gratitude
For the Lord sending you my way
