The Light Within
She has been broken, torn down and withered
she has given her all
and yet keeps on giving
she falls and stands and falls again
ready to give up,
the fight... this fight within.....
she weeps at times silently inside
her fears and emotions she constantly hides
she seems to be strong
but her body grows weak
her mind is tired
these worries that she keeps
the things in life that she holds dear
her children, family and closest friends
she continues to hold near
these things that she loves
and holds up high
help her to carry on
and build strength to fly
she keeps her faith
and stands tall
she knows he is with her through it all....
so she finds her strength once again
and lives each day to its end...
she lives to forgive and to forget
her heart is sacred,
she releases her regret...
throughout the storms
she has traveled to find the light
her strength has built within her
she will never give in
she will continue to fight !
