    I REIGN
    Lately life for me has been kinda strange
    Its like hunger meaning you feel the pangs
    Crazy! sometimes I feel deranged
    My atmosphere has been totally rearranged
    Like an inmate my soul feels chained
    Never want to revisit here again
    Heartbroken? mine has been stained
    The prophecy has already been spoken, my destiny is ordained
    Swallowed my tongue, kept silent, my vocals I restrained
    For it was my composure that I wished to maintain
    Because foolisheness or ignorance is not why i came
    Lately there's been too little sun yet an abundance of rain
    How does one survive so much pain?
    Smileless my countenance displays only disdain
    I'm walking out of my past and may nothing remain
    Sanity or Insanity? well I choose to be sane
    I understand giving but no longer will I be drained
    I refuse to allow sadness to reside only joy will i contain
    I fully embrace my past i am no longer ashamed
    For that is the reason I CAME, I REMAIN, and I REIGN

    i love the rhythm of this poem, so very well written, taking control, being proud of who we are, WOW!! awesome work...this poem deserves a 10..

    This is how poetry of the soul should be written! You command the words and you shape them into a visual presentation of the perception that can be changed or held strong. Your verse flows easily and the use of rhyme is suberb! I am adding this one t
