    I WANT A LOVE

    I want a love that isn't demanding
A love full of wisdom and excels in
    understanding
A love full of trust, honesty, and caring
A love that gives of itself and doesn't mind sharing
A love that defies being put into words
A love that when silent the power of its
    presence can still be heard
I want a love that nurtures and isn't abusive
A love that listens and isn't conclusive
A love that protects and gives warning
A love that can stay all night and be there in the morning
A love capable of meeting my need
A love that has the faith to believe
A love that makes everything seem alright
A love that can minister to my soul at night
A love that penetrates as deep as the sea
A love that I know exists for it is in me

Are you really sure that you truly love like this? Most of us want to believe that we are capable of this kind of love and that this is what we deserve but why do we seem to gravitate towards those who are incapable of returning this type of love? Truthfuly, I want this kind of love also but am I willing to open myself up to the type of pain and betrayal waiting for me if I decide to go giving it away? The pain is in the giving not in the recieving! If I give and don't recieve, I hurt. If I don't give and don't recieve, nothing ventured nothing gained, it's a wash. The only being worhty of this type of love is God and God is the only one capable of giving it too, Oh and MOMS! We all give our love with certain strings attached. If you say you don't then you aren't looking close enough because sometimes we use thread!

this is where this love evolves is from my relationship with God and when you surrender and let him come inside He will feel you with the same love He has if you let him. It is possible through the pain

That is a beautiful thing to have love like that inside of you. I have some but still seek the rest. I have faith though so I know I will be taken care of. I'm a work in progress trying to give the love that God gives me everyday. Your writing in this piece flows so well I really enjoyed. I felt it.

I loved this poem very much Tameka - it's excellent in every way - well focused, expressive, vivid, and truly spoken - the rhythm was great and the flow was smooth - that is love... KD
