    I Was Just Thinking......

    I was just thinking...

    Would the world be a less happy place,
    If I didn't have you to embrace?

    And would my heart grow cold,
    Without you here to hold?

    Would the sun refuse to shine,
    If you were no longer mine?

    Would a rose lose all its glory,
    If you weren't a part of my story?

    Would I have so much fun,
    If our love came undone?

    Would I cease to exist,
    If I were scratched off your list?

    Would the moon shine so bright,
    Without you in my sight?

    Would I no longer care,
    If you weren't there?

    Would my heart skip a beat,
    Without you as my treat?

    These answers I hope I never know,
    Because I don't want you to go,

    But I was just thinking....

    Oh my God! I usually don't like love poetry, but the style and metaphors you use just sucked me in. It's not a soul-piercing thing. The title is perfect. Our lives aren't always so dramatic. Sometimes we just sit and ponder the possibilities....

    These are words I often think, but just don't know how to say face to face, I can write it, think it, recite it in a mirror, but I just can't bring myself to say it in her presence. Every time I try, my throat goes dry, and I choke. I guess I'm just scared ass chicken shit. -Ming

    Questions I have answered since my broken heart, and for while the answer is No, but then one day you wake up and the answer becomes yes again. I like this poem, it is cute:)

    Simple plain thoughts. I agree with the cute comment too!

    Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
