Like molten lava churning deep inside

Like molten lava churning deep inside

Like molten lava churning deep inside
Old childhood hurts awaken from their sleep
Angers encased in stone, buried alive
But finding cracks upward they slowly creep

At once distain and fear seek to conspire
To reinforce the sepulcher with steel
Afraid of grief and pain, the walls go high’r
As with its shadows, shame seeks to conceal

But if with kindness the crypt is unbound
And with compassion, pain can be embraced
There comes a peace, a healing so profound
Armed with the light of love, all can be faced

Oh little child come revel in this day
I’ll hold you while you cry, then let’s go play.
