Fear

Fear

There is a deadly beast that roams this land
A cunning foe who preys upon our fears
Who sows the seeds of hate and greed by hand
These crops of despair watered with our tears

Then with a voice as smooth and cold as ice
It tells us who is human, who is not
And any qualms we have it will excise
With vows of wealth and power, we are bought

The cost of opposition is quite high
For blind obedience is what’s required
And those brave souls who dare to question why
With charges of insanity are tried

These mortal wounds aren’t healed by God above
Within our heart we hold the cure; it’s love.

That sneaky villian whispering in our ears. hehehe the rascal! Fear a tear that falls in shame because it fell without knowing his name!

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.

Plato (BC 427-BC 347) Greek philosopher.
