Man, if she could be the one

Tell her you love her,
reassure her
Hold her close and cuddle her
Treasure her
Go see her,
no matter how far away she lives
Always make an effort
let her know she is worthy
Let her know
that she is beautiful to you,
worthy of your love
Hold hands and kiss her
Be unpredictable
send flowers, love cards
tokens of love, letters
and appreciation
Repeatedly
visit her when sick
Be there for her always
Hold her when sad or upset
Do not be afraid
to show your feelings
Nor share your hearts desires
Share secrets with her
Spend time together,
relax, have fun and laugh
Give up your seat,
tidy up and play your part
Open doors for her
Guard every word and breath
Make sure she gets home safe with a call;
better still see her home to the door
If you’d give your life for her
die for her, defend her, protect her
Then wait for her,
however long it takes
The sex can wait
Man, if she could be the one
with whom to share a life-time together
Respect her …

I liked this poem! But not for the same reasons that a woman might. If a man did have of those things for a woman he has not slept with he's crazy, or forever stuck in the friend zone. Your words were inspirational to those of us who have waited in vain for sex that never came.

I guess then some of you are looking either a) in wrong places or b) at the wrong women, lol. It means so much more to a woman to be accepted for who she is and to see qualities of personality in a man... Of course there is no reason once the timing is right to discuss how things are progresing between you periodically so both know where they are headed. Thanks for stoppping by to read and comment, your thoughts appreciated...

I am lucky one. My man is like the one you are telling about. We meet in our late fourties and poetry was the start of our relationship. it will be 6 years soon since our weding

I once joked with my boss that i would create clone man and he would have all these lovely traits. She told me she would buy the first one that rolled off the assembly line. Of course this would be great. I'd love to know what the males list would look like.

Maybe one man might right the list for the ideal woman... smiles, I'd liek to see it too..but I'm geussing most have their needs met for women are so much more open emotionally and tuned in with it...of course there are some who this does not apply to! Wouldn't do for all to be identical though really, I feel it adds a little spice to life...thanks for stopping by...

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
