When all of nature weeps

Tears too late to regenerate
and all because we acted too late
Future generations will face decline
If we continue to be ignorant to every sign

Ozone has odor like chlorine bleach
Its now to stop  now to teach
For exposure produces headaches, burning eyes
irritated respiratory passages, asthmatic sighs

All of nature in decline
Don't waste water treat it like wine
Be careful that you sort your rubbish
Recycle everything we publish

What you buy is important too
As is how much liquid flushes down the loo
Then the factories where the 'stuffs' produced
need reduce the smog that they've induced

Stop pollution at its source
And where possible walk of course
Or otherwise lets travel together
Protect our plants, trees and our weather

My heart goes out to you with your mcs, I don't think many poeple relate peoples sufferings to the condition of our planet - they don't seem to recognise these things as going hand in hand and do not own responsibility for their own actions... More needs be doen to raise further awareness... Thanks for supporting this poem... appreciate your view/thoughts...

Anna-Marie, this great write of yours should be the "poster child poem" embraced by Greenpeace! You just have to read a similar poem i've written, titled .. "Into Them .. Into Me .. Into You" SBear

You know all you said in this beautiful work is easily accomplished with little effort...so why dont we all do it? that is my questtion. people have lost consideration for the mother that gives life to us all.

That's really nice of you to say, thankyou for the add and comment... We do all to easy close down to the beauty around us everyday, such a pity - we need get back to nature... and stop poluting our world... so often through laziness. So glad you liked this...

Thankyou FranzJ, so glad you are one that agrees of the importance! Good to see you, sorry this is late, missed for some reason - but appreciated no less! Anna-Marie.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
