My Heart Aches
I feel this empty ache deep inside,
it's a feeling I try so hard to hide.
I struggle with this pain I feel,
sometimes I don't know how I deal.
I try so hard from day to day,
because life should not be lived this way.
I've waited so long for this ache to go,
for my true feelings I wish to show.
I know what's missing from my heart,
but life just won't do it's part.
I wait for the love that will make me whole,
for that person with which to share my soul.
But I must wait until he appears,
and then I hope I will have no fears.
The unknown is something I cherish,
and I hope that I won't perish.
Waiting for this painful ache to fill,
I know my soul is strong and so is my will.
