    Poem Commentary

This poem is a love poem written for the city of Los Angeles. She is a slutty little girl, my lover, and a prostitute.

    My Nightime Lover

    Lady of the night,
    bathed in erotic light,

I flow through your hollow streets,
    like lovers sheets,

I slip past the dwellings of the dead,
on the path which you lead.

    City of the light,
    fair and bright,
    tucked out of sight,
    hiding where you might,
    clothed with only the night,

take me into your tender filthy places,
    taverns and other lude spaces,
    infested with drunken faces,
    giving in to your graces,
    our love leaves no traces,

    lady of the night,
    city of light,
    but try as you might,
every day you loose the fight,
you run so quickly from the sun's fearsome sight.
