    Night Dreams

This night is so dark the stars twinkle in the sky
It seems so very funny to me that I will never die
Life to me is roaming of the night of which there is no end
So I close my eyes occassionally and just to listen to the wind.

So I'm sitting on my park bench, watching the world go by
I see everything through very different eyes
I smell the musky odors they tickle my nose so well
for I am a true Immortal, and this is my living H***

Forever am I doomed to walk these streets that we call Earth
It has been this way for oh so long since the time of my rebirth.
For this is what I wanted To live forever and a day
Is this a blessing or a curse? Yes is all I can ever say.

Ephesians 2:2 (New King James Version) 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, John 12:31 (New King James Version) 31 Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out. so from reading ur poem again and these verese whom really are u talking about .....think about it.no offense just think with ur spirit and not ur heart

Man I love it, it's like an accident that you can't tear your eyes away from. Great words, doomed to walk these streets can be used interchangebly with blessed to walk these streets, and the yes means something entirely different. Thank you

Thank you for your comment. This was my first poem to be recognized and published, and even though appreciate the ratings system, do not really lean one way or the other as to it's true relevance to the writer. Again, thanks!

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
