one day

The day was long, the sun was hot
As we walked across this parking lot.
As the bottom of my shoe did melt
The heat was strong on my toe, I felt.

I did not know quite what to do
So I jut took of my melted shoe
Which I later found out was a big mistate
For I soon steped on a great big snake

The snake was black with eyes of red
That crossed it seems when I crushed its head
I took one look and screamed so loud
That any girl would be very proud

I looked around and felt absurd
For all I could hear was a bird.
Then I turned to my friend and smiled
But he didn't speak for quite awhile.

After reading I am compelled to ask, what is it about?

Very good!! I find it difficult to write humor, you make it look easy.

Cute, amusing little ditty. I liked it and it made me smile.
