    This may take some figuring...or maybe it is quite clear...you be the judge. Enjoy it if you can!!!

    "Only The Righteous Know"

     Only The Righteous Know

    Thou shall propagate no evil...
    worship no man...
    prostrate to no people...
    hear no...
    speak no...
    see no...
    all things equal...
    it's all a rat race...
    we're in need of no steeples.

    Corner store prophets...
    minute-made scholars...

    selling paradise wouldn't make sense...
    if it didn't make dollars.

    Inmates holler...
    prison breaks collars...
    gin makes squalor...
    of the juiciest parlors.

    Forced to turn eyes to the sins of our fathers...
    why should I die for the sins of my father?

    But if I don't shy from the sins of my father...
    on second thought...why bother?
    Whatever happens...happens...
    I'll just blame it on karma....

    Yes now...let's let loose with the drama...
    four hundred years of oppression...now my savior's Obama.....

    .......
    .......
    .......?

    White lies...
    White lace...
    and white devils.

    Black ties...
    Black face...
    and black devils.

    Red eyes...
    Red tape...
    and red devils.

    The devil soul peddles on so many levels...

    Corner store prophets...
    minute-made wise men...

    all weave tales comfortable for me to lie in...
    all seek hail and fanfare so dive in...
    then sink or swim in the den of the lion...
    their staunch what...when they wail for Poseidon?

    .
    They tell me what to believe....
    they tell me where I'll go...
    They never tell me it's green...
    where the money grows.

    They tell me another lie...
    they tell me another tale...
    they tell me secret societies...
    don't exist or will never be unveiled.

    They tell me how to feel...
    they tell me what to show...

    but they keep the secrets...
    that only the righteous...

    know

    Assalam alaikum, a dynamic politically expressed poem... I was intrigued by the way the confusion one's existence is highlighted in relation to the 'son of man' ..makes me wonder how many of us suffered from the confusion of christianity before we reached Al haqq... mashaallah

    Interesting... Again I would like to compliment you on the theme, makes it a joy to read. I do sense a bit of an oxymoron at the end though... "They keep the secrets...that only the righteous...know", I enjoyed the irony...

    Whoa malik! This affects me, calls to me on so many levels! I could just hear the words make the beat in my head. ( I hope that makes sense!) Boom, Boom, Boom! Sorry I've had a really bad stomach flu the last couple of weeks so I wasn't been able to check it out sooner. But just : BBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!
