    Poem Commentary

    Wrote this after being involved with a crack addict which was a new experience.
    Never knew he was into the stuff in the begining but found out in the end.

    Really dirty person

     No one put a gun to his head

    because inside he was already dead

    making that choice so long ago

    using that urge to say HELLO

    wishing he'd said goodbye instead

    he faces cocaine with looming dread

    selfish and self centered he has been

    living cut off to an addiction end

    loved one's going through personal hell

    afraid to face or even tell

    his narcotic soul being so weak

    not able to grasp the help he needs

    he'd rather keep going until he drops

    when the angel of death finally knocks.
