    Poem Commentary

Believe it or not I have had writer's block for years.  But today sitting in class this just came out. Just seems it needs tweaking, yet you
know if you do then it can make it change or ruin what you started with.

    Twisted Thinking

    Why didn't I see
    that road ahead of me
    twists, turns, ups and downs
    ready to throw me
    to the ground
    roll things over
    slide into home base
    don't get close
    or in my face
    it's cutting edge
    why didn't I see
    that sharp knife
    coming for me?

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
