    Romeo and Juliet

He used me for someone else
    I realized that too late
But every time he comes to mind
I still think of him as fate

    He waits in every memory
    Lurking in my dreams
    Until I wake up terrorized
    A pillow muffling my screams

He used to be my Romeo
    I was his Rosaline
    But then came old Juliet
And Juliet could have been me

    Say goodbye to fairytale
    Take this one last look
Now we turn the final page
    And throw away this book

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
