take time

burning fuel
exhausted from running
tired of explaining
misunderstood , the word of the day
unclear is the forcast
rough seas ahead
my words fall on deaf ears
the boy who cried wolf
my sheep un attended

i should be sent out to pasture
a tired boy in the  old mans carcass
eys blues by nature
they grow grey from lifestyle
skin dry and wrinkled like the  desert
joints creek like the ancient mariners vessel
movments that where crisp
return in a sluggish fashion
handsome replaced
distinguised arrived

torn tattered are the clothes of new
his walk slowed to a crawl
his gaze broken
damp are the memories
lingering are the mistakes
choices made
decisions pondered

the wind blows and with it rain
washing away the dirt
the filth of his  last regret
the grace of god has lifted his spirit
blood coarsing threw his veins
a new day is born
and with it the sun

blue has returned
skin is renewed
vibrance in a his step
a whistle on his lips
air underneathe his shoes
a resurgance of life
his mind clear
responsive  are his thoughts
dull no more

a second chance
a third chance
as many chances as it takes
he has arrived
chest out, shoulders back, chin up
ready to face the world
challenges met
obstacles overcome
goals  set

breathe
all he had to do was breathe
breathe in the air and its intoxicating medicine
a cure
a miracle
in just one breathe

AWESOME WRITE! Haha. Great personality AND talented with your writing. :) Hell yeah, Keep it coming. All the best -Marion-

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
