just one game

just one game

one boy
one ball
one son
one glove
one man
one drink
one dad
one drink too many

one day we'll play
one afternoon
it will be true
one night
we'll be a family
one night
we'll be strangers

tonight and tomorrow
promises made
day in day out
trust was lost
months turn in to years
of broken promise
year after year
words become lies

a decade has gone
i loved , i hated
ten years wasted
eat drink and be merry
departed is the old man
regrets follow
i loved, i missed
i kicked , i screamed
wishing
hoping
to change the past
when its the past
that has paved my future

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
