    today was grey

    Last night was cold

    the halloween air damp

    the leaves crackle and whisp

the moist ground reveals a sound

the churning wind wakens the falling leaves

the smell of a fire burning in the distnace

the moonlight breaking threw my window

    a night to remember

    an old friend stops bye

    says hello then goodbye

the cold night surrounds my skin

    my skin reacts with goosbumps

    my heart beating slowly

    my eyes open wide

a fear has come over me

my mind has started to corrupt my thoughts

the words of a woman linger

    linger too long

    the words spoken

    the gestures read

    the plot had already begun

she ended what was already over

my mind did not know, what my heart felt

my mind poured the fuel on too the fire

a light, as bright as the sun emerges

my heart ached from my minds fury

Now it is i who aches

I walked back and forth  to the source

    no messages , no mail

now words to be spoken no conclusion

I paced, obsessively, back anf forth

my mind racing with impure thoughts

my heart aching from the pain of  love

My mind was weak and my heart was strong

    the division line drawn

    the wires crossed
    the message incompete
    the soul of a woman
has torn my mind and heart apart
    left behind are the scars
    beaten but not broken
words easily said.Hard to live up too

the night has turned to day
no light from th eeternal flame in the sky
no hope has come ,with this a a new dawn
despair and angst have been the topic of the day
my bed is my coffin, my carsofogas
my room has become my cell
my time is  of a murdered
    life with out parole

my mind was in control of my heart
my heart was not stong enough today
    she has gone
    i have stayed
    her ship as set sail
and i wave from the coast of sorrow

    a new chapter will begin
    and old chapter must end
    the books binding worn
    the cover mis used
    its words fading
    its meaning lost
    today was a grey day
this life has become an old book
    enjoyed in conversation
but least likely to be taken of the shelf
    admired for what it was
it has its place on the shelf
    the dust collects
    the pages frey
    the sunlight fades its glory
    at home
    the book will stay

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
