     My heart lays on the floor torn into pieces
    Slowly you've gathered them all up
    One by one you have mended each piece together
    You now hold my heart in your hands
    It is now my gift to you.....

    However my soul will always be mine.....

    Your poem tells a find story of a broken heart; a reverse humpty-dumpty, if you would. The last shows a holding back of the force that animates the heart, so you giving him/her only a shell. Well done, my friend. Olan. P.S. A person should never give themselves totally to anyone but themselves.
