Poem Commentary

To all you crack heads out there!! EAT SOMETHIN" BITCHES!!!! Seriously, take care of yourselves, love all my addicts. PEACE!

Thinner

Thinner than a shadow,
the man in the mirror.
Where did all the flesh go,
consumed?

Consumed by what?
 it begs the question.
He needs to glut.
That's my suggestion.

He's up all night.
he sleeps all day.
when does he eat?
I'm just saying.

His bones look like pins.
His eyes are small and red.
If I didn't know better,
I'd swear that he was dead.

Thinner than a shadow,
the man in the mirror.
I know that if the wind blows,
he's bound to fly away.

Take him to Mac Donalds.
Get him a Big Mac.
If he does one more single line,
he'll have a heart attack.

Thinner than a shadow,
the man in the mirror.
wait a moment, look!
He disappeared!!

Great poem, RJ. I too enjoyed the 3rd person perspective. Keep writing!

Very dark, extrememly raw. I love how you talked about yourself in third person! 10 from me! FUBAR93

Intriguing poem, does one more line and I'm sure he will eventually disappear. Nice job.

Thanks again, spread the word about this addiction thing its a life and death situation. God Bless!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
