Tragic Mention

Poem Commentary

This was an idea that I had to explain the struggles that I go through. Putting these into words helps me to deal with my emotions. It is my hope that those who read my works will appreciate the value of my words.

Tragic Mention

Tragically having to mention,
All the things in this life I am missing,
Are somehow gone, lost somewhere,
Should this life be a shadow, still and dark,
A glimpse right now or something stark,
Should this life be different, great, or bold,
Tomorrow should be better spent, cold,
Even if getting older by the day seems,
But a tragic consequence, here it lay,
As a heart is beaten, weathered, and worn,
Always holding me down to earth, torn,
In the fabric of my life lies a story,
Still living seems so much a chore,
All these times well spent are marred,
Lost at times for words we are,
This would explain in uncertain terms,
Where I would rather be right now,
This is all a tragic mention somehow!

A tragic thought evoking piece you leave your reader to ponder their own tragedy. well done.-Tonya

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
