Poem Commentary

This is a simple poem about my travels to a nearby city to seek employment there. This was an insiration that I had while there. I hope you all enjoy it!

Traveling Afar

Upon traveling afar to another place,
This journey caught me waiting,
As I came to be in this other city,
Here I am and yet remain today,
To search for proper employment,
And to make much needed gains,
Still afar I stand bewildered,
To my dismay alone I know,
No proper place of employment still,
No proper place of abode do I yet own!

Teardrops commented on Traveling Afar

never stop trying your writing is wonderful thanks for the read

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
