Without You

  • February 5th, Friday morning, purple dawn... A moment like a poem, you wish you could hold it... I shut my eyes like it's frozen... it's gone when I open...

Without You

bleeding the sickness out...

ill cut you out of me,

leaving no trace behind.

ripping the pain away...

ill tear away our everthing

you will no longer torture me

clearing my thoughts...

i want new memories,

to never have you on my mind.

getting up off the floor...

i brush the dirt from my fingers ,

clean up my scraped knees.

drying my eyes...

ill never give you another tear

loving you will never again be apart of me.

killing the love...

i once held so dear,

its something you never showed me.

mending my broken heart...

i pick up the pieces you left for nothing,

i wish i could erase everything.

closing the door...

i say goodbye to you love

and i look up

the sky is blue,

the birds are singing.

my whole life ahead of me...

without you

Miserable heartbreak, learning to find hope and look forward. Excellent description, and a beautiful poem. You may enjoy my poem "Sick Little World", as it touches on this very issue. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of your work.
