A Man, A Woman, We Three

A Man, A Woman, We Three

Within me lives another woman

And a man intertwined with me

They both claim to love me

We don’t ever see each other

But I’ve often wished that we could

Become friends dine out and laugh

Enjoy the theatre and talk

Of mutual interest we have

We have a lifetime that will last

Today we thought of intimacy

That made our souls dance

We read poetry wrote by Kahlil Gibran

And cherished each moment we had

In this secret sacred garden of love
