What Color

What Color

That’s the color of my skin

Brown eyes within

The color of my skin

Corona Borealis

Opulently closed

Even then I can see

A dimmed crescent aura

Psyche in warm chocolate skin

Green eyes in the color of my skin

Let me see your psyche within

What color covers your ellipse?

Delicately balancing orbs within

Share with me the beauty of

Flowers, trees and sky

Does your psyche match?

The color of my skin

It is different but it speaks to inclusion of all people

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
