The Last time I Saw Your Smile
It seems like a lifetime has passed
Since the last time I saw you smile
The smile of quiet thought or
Complex feeling of inward passion
Far beyond mortal comprehension
I think in terms of days, sometimes hours
Seldom in minutes, never in seconds
To formulate ideas, some unwanted
Nonetheless thoughts that make the
Most unassuming intellects intimidated
And make me wonder if that is the reason
I feel a life time has passed since
The last time I saw your smile
Feeling this way make me sense
We have something more in common
Than we both imagined or know
I’ve never felt the tenderness
Of your embrace as I imagined
Our lips would meet in moon light
I will never feel the same as when
Your smile sent quivers thru my being
When you enter the sphere of my aura
It is like walking through the O' Louvre
Gazing at the works of masters
D’ Vinci , Gauguin or Picasso
As I listen to compositions written
By Paganini, Bach or Mozart
Beauty beyond the rings of Saturn
As the Planet Venus descends Mars
To the very depths of the Red Sea
The senses are real as when I imagine
The last time I saw your smile
