Poem Commentary

a horrifying,reocuring,dream :'(

Anything for love

the girl sighs happily,
as her mother secures
the veil in her hair.
"you are so beautiful.."
she whispered,
tears of joy streaming
down her cheeks.
and she sails down the aisle,
her father leading her,
wanting to be with her love.
and now their saying their vows,
and she's lost in his eyes,
and the sound of the heavy
wooden door slamming open startles her.
her ex is staring down th aisle, gun in his hand,
as he shrieks "if i can't have you, no one can!"
he takes his aim, to her love's chest.
she's begging him not to, that it'll cause her pain,
but he simply smirks and pulls the trigger.
she jumps in front of him, not realizing why,
and the red bloom on her chest tells
all they should say good bye.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
