    Black Rose

    Black Rose
    By: Sandra Rains
    Rainbow colored illusions
    full of awkward pain
    This darkness consumes me
    I am a dead-like stain
    The sky is above me
    and hell is below
    Is God protecting me?
    only heaven knows
    Take this black rose
    drape it over my face
    Let the thorns cut me
Let me bleed in my own space
    imaginary memories
could it be a figment of my mind?
    Do I need to remember?
or should I leave it all behind?
The sky is still above me
    and hell still thrives below
    Does God really love me?
    Only heaven knows
    Take this black rose
    drape it over my eyes
    Let the thorns blind me
    and erase my visual lies

a very sad poem life has some sunshine and i hope you step out into it soon great poem thanks for the read

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
