My whole life I've taken
each day with a grain of salt
each moment lived the way I'm taught
each second with love I've bought
My whole life I've given
more than I had to give
more than I need to
more than I asked from you
I'm sure Lord, as sure as I sit here
I could not have managed alone
I could not have lived on my own
I could not have sat by your throne
And I'm sure Lord, as sure as the sun shines
I could not have succeeded myself
without you Lord by my side
giving me that "much needed" help
So the bottom line is this Lord
I don't know what I would have done
If I was without you Lord-
and I had no one
This I'd like to tell you Lord
And it comes straight from my heart to you
I am so in love with you Lord-
"What's a girl to do?"
I know without a shadow of doubt
I could not make it alone
Without you Lord, I would be lost
Never finding my way home
So thank you Lord for lifting me
out of the depths of hell
For I was so confused and weary
I never knew when it was, I fell
But thank you Lord for lifting me up
with your strong soft hand
You are by far the love of my life
You are my number one man
